Garage Upkeep

We get a lot of calls for safety sensor issues. The door won't close, and other conditions.

The first thing you should do if your door will not close is to clean the debris away from the safety sensors, clean all cobwebs away, and try the door again. If the door still will not close then see if one of the sensors is red on the top. If they are both reading correctly there should be a green light showing. If you have a red light you could try to adjust your safety sensor to see the other sensor. There is a wing nut on the top of the sensor, just unscrew the nut and adjust the sensor up or down until you get a green light. Screw the wing nut back on and try the door again. If it still will not go down, then look on your wall button and make sure it is not in the lock mode. The wall button has a lock and unlock button on it that can be pushed to lock the garage door. If this lock button is engaged, simply push the button back to the unlock position. Then try the garage door again, if you are still encountering problems, you should call us.

If you have done all of the above things and your garage door is still not going down, then call us for a service call: 614-877-0350! Our service call is $79, we will check out the entire door, oil and adjust, and diagnose your garage door problems.
